Clean Energy law is signed

Michigan’s clean energy laws included a commitment for the state to generate at least 10 percent of its energy from renewable sources, and significantly incentivized energy efficiency. Since the governor signed this package into law on October 6, 2008, by December of 2010, 48 clean energy companies had chosen Michigan, investing more than $9.4 billion. By the year 2020, those companies are expected to create nearly 90,000 jobs.
